Security system manages visitors to district schools, offices

WEST COLUMBIA, SC – The safety of our Lexington Two students and employees is a top priority. To further strengthen safeguards already in place, we use an electronic system at our schools to manage visitors entering district facilities.

Visitors are asked to present an ID such as a driver’s license (for those without a US government-issued ID, other forms including state identification cards, concealed handgun licenses, military identification cards, and Green Cards will be accepted).  Once entry is approved, visitors are issued a badge that identifies the visitor, the date, and the purpose of his/her visit.

No other data from the ID is gathered or recorded, and the information is not shared with any other agency.

If you have any questions, please talk with a school or district administrator.
